WHAT On Your Bike ACHIEVES and how can it continue?
A registered charity – we offer training and support to young people, the socially underprivileged, ex-servicemen, homeless & the long term unemployed.
Here are Chris and Richard passing their Cytech II (at a national assessment centre). Both have gone on to further full time employment – trained, supported and funded by On Your Bike.
We have recycled thousands of bikes… and provided over 4,000 hours of training to over 75 individuals
OYB has helped more than twenty people into employment and helped others improve their confidence, self-esteem and improved their chances of gaining paid work.
Can you support us?
Financial donations are always needed to help cover our core costs of staffing and premises.
Donations of old bicycles are appreciated to help our trainees learn maintenance skills.
£500 funds a Cytech qualification
£2,000 trains a disadvantaged person in core employability skills.
These funds allow us to continue our work during the winter, when the bicycle shop profitability declines, but our training and support work to the disadvantaged continues.
